Harris County, TX — An adult male driver was apprehended after allegedly refusing to stop for a Precinct 4 deputy and leading authorities on a brief pursuit, according to Constable Mark Herman’s Office.

Deputy Reyes-Carranza attempted to conduct a traffic stop near northbound State Highway 249 and Northpointe Boulevard when authorities said the driver refused to stop.

The pursuit ended on Cypress Rosehill Road, just south of FM 2920, where deputies stopped the vehicle and apprehended the driver.

A juvenile passenger who was inside the vehicle was released without charges.

The Constable’s Office did not immediately identify the driver or announce what charges he may face.

Any defendant charged in connection with the incident is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in court.
