Austin, TX — The Austin Fire Department is marking a leadership transition following the retirement of Chief Baker after 40 years of public service.
The department also announced Chief Vocke as Austin’s new interim fire chief. According to AFD, Vocke has dedicated more than 29 years to serving the Austin community.
The department congratulated Baker on four decades of service while welcoming Vocke into his new leadership role.
