Harris County, TX — A 16-year-old girl who had been reported as a runaway was located at a motel Thursday, where authorities determined she was being trafficked, according to Harris County Sheriff Ed Gonzalez.
Harris County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to a motel in the 17100 block of North Freeway and located the teenager.
During the investigation, deputies learned the 16-year-old was being trafficked.
An adult man identified as Danterius Reed was arrested and charged with Promotion of Prostitution. He was booked into the Harris County Jail.
Reed is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
