Lubbock, TX — Lubbock police are putting a Blue Light emergency phone outside headquarters at 1205 15th Street and changing lobby hours.
Starting Friday, September 4, the public lobby and front desk will be open 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. Overnight, the phone will connect directly to a telecommunicator in the Emergency Communications Center. Press the red emergency button on the station.
The department said the change follows months of looking at overnight walk-in traffic and will put sworn officers who staffed the desk at night back on patrol.
