Corpus Christi, TX — A 44-year-old man wanted in Louisiana was arrested overnight at a motel near Leopard and Lantana.
Nueces County Precinct 5 deputies asked Corpus Christi police for help Wednesday evening. Patrol officers found the suspect’s vehicle at the motel. With the Violent Crimes unit, Gang unit, and Precinct 5 deputies, they took Lenny Mize into custody.
He had outstanding felony warrants from four Louisiana jurisdictions for charges that included:
• burglary
• identity theft
• aggravated battery
• bank fraud
Officers also found multiple firearms, including one reported stolen from Houston, and other suspected stolen property. He faces an additional charge of unlawful possession of a firearm by a felon. Other charges may be pending.
Mize is presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.
