Conroe, TX — A Jeep rear-ended a Conroe ISD school bus Wednesday afternoon, then both people inside ran.
Montgomery County dispatch got the 911 call about 4:01 p.m. in the Montgomery Creek Ranch subdivision. One of the people who fled was reported to have a firearm.
Sheriff’s patrol, the Crime Reduction Unit, K9, and a drone team responded with Conroe ISD police, Precinct 3 constables, and Shenandoah police.
Deputies took one person into custody and recovered multiple firearms. The Jeep’s driver, Larry Roman Valencia, 28, was charged with DWI-second offense, possession of a controlled substance, and tampering with evidence. He is in the Montgomery County Jail.
The passenger is still outstanding. Investigators said they have identified that person and will seek a warrant.
Valencia is presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.
