Converse, TX — A 56-year-old woman has been arrested after a hit-and-run that left a bicyclist seriously injured.

Converse police responded about 11:15 p.m. Wednesday to the 8600 block of FM 78, near North Loop 1604 East. Officers found a 46-year-old man with serious injuries. A nurse helped him until firefighters and EMS arrived. He was taken to a hospital.

A witness followed the vehicle, photographed the plate, and told officers where it went. Police stopped it in the 9100 block of FM 78 and took Jenifer Lynn into custody.

She was charged with:

• Intoxication assault with a vehicle causing serious bodily injury

• Collision involving injury

• Possession of a controlled substance

Lynn is presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.
