Hallettsville, TX — Two Lavaca County registered sex offenders were arrested yesterday on warrants for failing to comply with registration duties.
U.S. Marshals from the Southern District of Texas, Victoria Division, arrested Andrew Clinton King Jr. in the afternoon at a home in the 300 block of Kroschel in Hallettsville. A Lavaca County grand jury had already indicted him, and a felony warrant followed. A Lavaca County deputy assigned to the U.S. Marshals Gulf Coast Violent Offender Task Force took part, and Hallettsville police assisted.
Earlier, marshals arrested Travis Bingham in Kingwood. Bingham had been wanted since he failed to appear for an April 13, 2026, trial in Lavaca County on the same type of charge. Marshals and Harris County Sheriff’s Office SWAT took him into custody after a brief standoff. At least one other person was also arrested there.
Both men are presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.
