Evadale, TX — A fourth suspect is in custody in the burglary of Mitchell Saw & Supply, where a handgun was stolen.
On August 15, 2026, about 7:15 a.m., Deputy Bradley Morgan responded after the owner arrived and found the business had been broken into overnight. The building and fencing were damaged, and a handgun was missing. The owner provided video of the suspects, and Investigator David Lampman took the case.
About an hour after the burglary, a DPS trooper and a Jasper County deputy stopped three people walking on Highway 96 just north of Evadale. Lampman later determined they were responsible.
On August 17, warrants were issued and Silsbee police arrested Tramayne Arline, 20, Ezavion Bass, 19, and Davis Bottley, 20, all of Silsbee. They were booked into the Jasper County Jail on burglary of a building, a state jail felony.
On August 20, investigators executed a search warrant at a Silsbee residence with help from Silsbee police, the FBI, ATF, the U.S. Marshals Service, the Southeast Texas Violent Crime Task Force, and Jasper police. Bryston Brenier, 17, was interviewed, confessed to being involved, and was arrested on a warrant. He was taken to the Jasper County Jail.
The stolen handgun has not been recovered. The investigation remains open.
All four are presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.
