Edinburg, TX — Border Patrol agents and Hidalgo County deputies stopped a suspected human-smuggling attempt Thursday at a truck stop in Edinburg.
A Border Patrol K9 unit responded after a report of a suspicious tractor-trailer. The dog alerted, and agents and deputies found 20 people who were in the country illegally concealed inside the trailer. The driver was taken into custody.
The driver is presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.
