Harrison County, TX — A train carrying hazardous materials derailed just east of Marshall, Harrison County ESD 3 Fire and Rescue said.

Fire Chief John Pritchard said six cars left the tracks along FM 1998, just east of Pumpkin Center Road. None of the hazardous materials have spilled so far, but crews are evaluating the scene for any potential leak.

FM 2199 has been blocked because of the derailment.

Avoid the closed roadway and give firefighters room to work. Do not approach the scene.
