Harris County, TX — Harris County Sheriff’s Office auto theft detectives, with help from the District 5 Crime Reduction Unit, recovered a stolen vehicle that had been fraudulently purchased and took a suspect into custody at the scene.
The suspect faces charges of theft and failure to identify as a fugitive. Investigators also said the person has several outstanding warrants in other states for similar crimes.
The sheriff’s office credited the auto theft and District 5 teams with recovering the vehicle.
The suspect is presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.
