China Spring, TX — Robinson Volunteer Fire Department sent mutual aid today to help China Spring firefighters with a wildland fire near the McLennan-Bosque county line.
Robinson deployed a brush truck, a water tender, its incident support and rehab trailer, and six personnel. The department also sent a drone to give incident command an aerial view of the fire and the surrounding area.
The fire stretched several miles. More than 15 fire departments responded, along with the Texas A&M Forest Service and a Texas Intrastate Fire Mutual Aid System strike team.
Robinson said additional personnel stayed in the city to cover any other fires at home.

Use extreme caution with anything that could create a spark. Vegetation is extremely dry, and fires can spread quickly.
