Houston, TX — Precinct 3 deputies responded Thursday to a life-in-danger call at 12323 Dona Lane in the Greenwood neighborhood and found a pregnant woman with injuries to her face and arms.

The victim told deputies she had been invited to the house to visit the suspect. During the visit, a knife was hidden, and when she saw it the suspect reached for it. The two struggled over the weapon, deputies said, and the suspect then began striking the victim’s face with the knife.

The woman suffered stab wounds to the face, arms, and hands. She was taken by EMS with injuries that were not considered life-threatening. An afternoon update said she was in stable condition.

Carrieale Williams has been charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon against a pregnant person. Deputies said Williams was previously arrested in 2025 for assault on a pregnant person, but that charge was dismissed. The victim knew Williams through church, and there is no relationship history between them, the constable’s office said.

The investigation remains ongoing. Williams is presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.
