Mansfield, TX — Ten Union Pacific railcars remain off the tracks near Seeton Road and South Holland Road after a derailment that brought Mansfield fire, Mansfield police, and Grand Prairie fire crews to the scene.

Officials said no one was injured.

The Mansfield Fire Department is leading the response involving the derailed railcars. The Mansfield Police Department is handling traffic and roadway closures.

Current closures:
• S. Holland Road is closed northbound and southbound at Fox Meadows Lane and Eagle Drive
• South of the tracks, the roadway is closed at Britton Road and Cook Street, and at Britton Road and Lakeview Drive
• Seeton Road is closed near the back of the U-Haul Storage facility

Authorities said they cannot estimate when the roads will reopen. Avoid the area and use alternate routes.

Officials also thanked the Grand Prairie Fire Department and Mansfield ISD Police Department for helping coordinate traffic near Elizabeth Smith Innovative Learning Academy.
