Elgin, TX — Elgin police are asking for help in an animal cruelty investigation after a yellow puppy was found dead in a kennel.
On August 6, 2026, the puppy was discovered inside a kennel, covered with a white blanket, near the dead end of Western Sky Boulevard and Willow Sage Lane.
Investigators believe the puppy had been left in the kennel for a long time without food or water and could not get out.
