Houston, TX — Harris County Precinct 2 deputies were patrolling the 8300 block of Broadway Street on August 19, 2026, after complaints about loitering and solicitation in nearby parking lots.

Deputies saw five men in a lot with an active criminal trespass affidavit and began identifying them to issue trespass warnings, Constable Jerry Garcia’s office said.

During that check, they found that Darius Wilson, 36, had an active felony warrant. When deputies tried to detain him, he ran. After a short foot chase, they caught him safely.

The Harris County District Attorney’s Office accepted an evading charge. Wilson was booked at the Joint Processing Center on the warrant and the new evading charge.

He is presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.
