San Antonio, TX — A man was hospitalized Wednesday morning after being struck by a pickup truck at a West Side intersection, according to the San Antonio Police Department.
The collision happened around 6:45 a.m. at South Acme Road and Old Highway 90.
Police said the pedestrian, believed to be in his 30s, was unconscious but breathing when he was placed into an ambulance and transported to a local hospital.
The pickup driver remained at the scene and assisted the injured man following the collision.
According to an officer at the scene, police believe the pedestrian attempted to cross the street when he did not have the right of way and was not paying attention.
Traffic was being redirected away from the intersection Wednesday morning.
