Odessa, TX — A months-long investigation into a series of auto burglaries in southeast Odessa led police to a local automotive business, where investigators allege customer vehicles were being used to commit the crimes.

According to the Odessa Police Department, officers investigated several auto burglaries throughout 2026 and used Flock license plate recognition cameras to identify vehicles allegedly connected to the incidents.

Investigators first identified a black Chevrolet as a suspect vehicle. After locating its owner, police learned the owner lived in Corsicana and had left the vehicle at Doughboyz Fab and Audio in Odessa for repairs.

Police said Flock technology also helped identify a Mitsubishi Lancer allegedly used during the burglaries. Investigators traced that vehicle and ultimately identified the person believed to have been operating it.

Two Suspects Identified

Police identified the suspects as:

• Jesus Munoz, 22 — arrested
• Arturo Navarrette, 23 — currently wanted

Investigators said both men were linked to several auto burglaries across Odessa. Warrants were obtained based on evidence developed during the investigation.

Police said Munoz is the owner of Doughboyz Fab and Audio, located at 2064 FM 1936.

The investigation remains ongoing, and Odessa Police said additional charges are anticipated.

Stolen Property Recovered

Most of the stolen items were reportedly power tools and electronics. Police recovered a significant amount of property, but investigators said many items lacked serial numbers, identifying marks or other information that would allow them to determine their owners.

The department is reminding residents to record serial numbers and place identifiable markings on valuable belongings to make stolen property easier to identify and return if recovered.

Charges are accusations, and the defendants are presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.
