Montgomery County, TX — Two Houston men were arrested after investigators recovered a stolen 2017 Toyota Tacoma that had been reported taken from an H-E-B near the 3500 block of Rayford Road, according to the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office.
The Montgomery County Auto Theft Task Force responded to the theft report on Aug. 18.
Investigators reviewed H-E-B surveillance footage and identified a black Cadillac CT5 as a suspect vehicle. That information led investigators to two suspects:
• Josue Zamarron, 29, of Houston
• Alberth Mosquera, 26, of Houston
Through a coordinated effort involving the Montgomery County Precinct 3 Constable’s Office, Texas Department of Public Safety and Houston Police Department Auto Theft Task Force, investigators located and recovered the stolen Tacoma in Houston.
Both men were taken into custody without incident and booked into the Montgomery County Jail on charges of:
• Theft of a Motor Vehicle
• Possession of Criminal Instruments
Authorities said Zamarron also had an outstanding arrest warrant connected to a separate incident involving another stolen Toyota Tacoma on Aug. 10.
The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office thanked the participating agencies for their assistance.
The Montgomery County Auto Theft Task Force is partially funded and trained by the Motor Vehicle Crime Prevention Authority.
Charges are accusations, and the defendants are presumed innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law.
