Harris County, TX — A man wanted on five warrants out of Maryland was taken into custody Monday after a Harris County Precinct 6 deputy was flagged down by a gas station employee in the Gulfgate area.

According to Harris County Constable Precinct 6, Sergeant Reed was patrolling near the 3300 block of Telephone Road on August 18 when an employee reported a man who was refusing to leave the business.

The man was identified as Angel Perez-Herrera. A records check reportedly revealed five outstanding Maryland warrants for:

• Armed robbery
• First-degree assault
• Second-degree assault
• Felon in possession of a weapon
• Felony theft

Perez-Herrera was taken into custody and transported to the Harris County Jail for processing.

Charges and warrants are accusations, and the accused is presumed innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law.
