China Spring, TX — Cross Country Water Supply Corporation has implemented Stage I water-use restrictions beginning Aug. 19 after officials said extreme water usage in recent weeks left the system unable to meet all water needs.

According to a customer notice issued by General Manager Allen Bryant, the restrictions are being activated under the utility’s Drought Contingency and Emergency Water Demand Management Plan and will remain in effect until conditions improve.

REQUIRED 3-DAY WATERING SCHEDULE

• Odd-numbered addresses: Sunday, Tuesday and Thursday
• Even-numbered addresses: Monday, Wednesday and Saturday

No outdoor watering on Fridays.

No outdoor watering between 10 a.m. and 7 p.m. on any day.

The restrictions do not apply to watering outdoor livestock or cattle.

Cross Country Water Supply said penalties authorized under its tariff may be assessed to customers found violating the restrictions.

Customers who believe they have good cause for a variance may contact the utility or submit a written request.
