Houston, TX — A 51-year-old man has been charged with murder and three counts of aggravated assault in connection with a southeast Houston shooting that left one woman dead and three others wounded, according to the Houston Police Department.
Police identified the suspect as Kendrick Maurice Williams. He is not currently in custody.
The shooting happened around 2:35 a.m. Saturday on Fairland Drive.
Responding officers found a woman suffering from multiple gunshot wounds in a driveway. Houston Fire Department paramedics pronounced her dead at the scene.
Family members identified the woman as Rosalyn Williams, 44.
Officers also found two women and one man suffering from gunshot wounds. All three were transported to a hospital for treatment.
According to a witness cited by HPD, Kendrick Williams was upset with his girlfriend when he arrived at the residence and found four people sitting inside a vehicle in the driveway. Investigators said Williams then allegedly opened fire into the vehicle, striking all four occupants.
Family members said Rosalyn Williams had gone to the home with her husband and another woman in an effort to help someone dealing with domestic violence.

The charges are accusations. Williams is presumed innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law.
