Killeen, TX — A 28-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the deadly shooting of Ronald D’Andre Horne over the weekend, according to the Killeen Police Department.
Police identified the suspect as Deundra Deon Gaines II.
Gaines was booked into the Bell County Jail on a murder charge and is being held on a $1.5 million bond.
The shooting happened shortly after 10 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 15, in the 2900 block of John Porter Drive.
Officers responding to a shots-fired call found Horne, 30, lying on the ground with a gunshot wound. He was later pronounced dead at the scene.
Justice of the Peace Gregory Johnson responded and pronounced Horne deceased.
Killeen police said the Crime Scene Unit and detectives with the Criminal Investigation Division are continuing to investigate the shooting.
The charge is an accusation. Gaines is presumed innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law.
