Robinson, TX — Robinson Fire Department crews responded to three separate fire incidents Tuesday as dry conditions continue to increase fire danger across McLennan County.
According to the department, crews handled:
• A small mulch fire at Taco Bell
• A construction dumpster fire in the Brookshire’s parking lot
• A mutual aid response to Lorena for a structure fire that extended into surrounding grass
Fire officials said the incidents highlight how quickly fires can ignite and spread as vegetation across the area continues to dry out.
McLennan County remains under a Burn Ban.
Residents are being urged to avoid outdoor burning, properly dispose of smoking materials and use extra caution with welding or other activities that may produce sparks.
Drivers and equipment operators should also be mindful when operating vehicles, trailers or machinery near dry grass.
The department thanked firefighters for continuing to respond both within Robinson and when neighboring agencies need additional assistance.
