Midland, TX — Midland Memorial Hospital recorded 3,039 births in 2025, marking its highest annual total since at least 2015 as the Midland community continues to grow.
The 2025 total represents a 7.8% increase from 2024, when the hospital recorded 2,819 births.
The increase was already becoming apparent midway through last year. By the end of July 2025, Midland Memorial had recorded 1,744 births, compared with 1,566 during the same period in 2024.
At the time, the City of Midland projected the hospital could finish the year with approximately 2,997 births if the remaining months followed the previous year’s pace. The final total ultimately surpassed that projection and crossed the 3,000-birth mark.
