Houston, TX — A 45-year-old man has been arrested on a criminal mischief charge involving the same apartment where 34-year-old Brittany Gamble was found dead last November.
Court records identify the man as Dennis Greer.
Greer is accused of causing approximately $6,500 in damage to his apartment at 666 Maxey Road. The criminal mischief charge is not directly connected to Gamble’s death.
Gamble’s body was found inside the apartment in November 2025 after she had been reported missing. Her family has continued seeking answers about the circumstances surrounding her death.
The Harris County Medical Examiner ruled Gamble’s cause and manner of death undetermined.
Houston police initially closed the case without criminal charges, but the investigation was reopened in May.
Greer has not been charged in connection with Gamble’s death.
According to court records, Greer was previously charged with murder in a separate 2013 case involving a woman whose body was found in a ditch. That murder charge was later dismissed. Greer was convicted of tampering with evidence involving a human corpse and served seven years in prison.
Greer is currently being held in the Harris County Jail on the criminal mischief charge.

Houston police said the investigation into Gamble’s death remains ongoing.
The current criminal mischief charge is an accusation. Greer is presumed innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law.
