Galveston, TX – Galveston Police Department patrol officers have received new ballistic shields funded through support from donors and members of the Galveston Community Police Foundation.
According to the foundation, the equipment is intended to provide officers with an additional layer of protection when responding to dangerous situations.
The foundation credited community members and donors for helping provide the protective equipment to officers serving Galveston.
