Polk County, TX – A fugitive sex offender who authorities said had evaded apprehension since 2018 was captured in Polk County after allegedly giving deputies a false identity and fleeing through a rear window.
According to the Polk County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded to the Quailcrest area on Aug. 14 after receiving information from the Tarrant County Sheriff’s Office about the possible whereabouts of Doyle Cheek.
