El Paso, TX — Police are looking for a man accused of breaking into a Tractor Supply store, causing an estimated $3,500 in damage, building himself a fort inside — and then falling asleep.
According to Crime Stoppers of El Paso, the unusual burglary happened around 9:09 p.m. Aug. 9 at the Tractor Supply at 9541 Alameda Avenue in El Paso’s Mission Valley.
Investigators said the man entered the store’s garden area and attempted to break a glass door leading into the main store using a skateboard. When that apparently didn’t work, authorities said he damaged multiple pieces of merchandise and used items to build a fort.
The man allegedly stole drinks and snacks before falling asleep inside.
His stay came to an abrupt end the following morning when store employees discovered him and woke him up. Authorities said the man fled.

• Hispanic male
• Late teens to early 20s
• Approximately 5 feet, 8 inches tall
• Thin build
• Dark hair
• White T-shirt
• Dark-colored jeans
