San Antonio, TX — A wandering bull calf gave San Antonio Animal Care Services officers quite the workout Tuesday after leading them through a Walmart parking lot and into an underground drainage tunnel.

Animal Care Services said the calf was first spotted heading toward a Walmart in the 1200 block of Southeast Military Drive.

San Antonio police officers helped move the calf out of traffic and into a nearby green space, but the animal then made its way into a large underground drainage tunnel.

The calf eventually stopped to rest, allowing animal care officers to safely remove it and load it into a livestock trailer.

Officers nicknamed the calf “Moodini” after its escape attempt.

Anyone with information about the calf’s owner is asked to contact 311.

Animal Care Services also reminded residents that livestock are not legally allowed to roam freely within San Antonio.
