Azle, TX – Students and staff are returning to Azle High School after a gas odor prompted a precautionary evacuation Tuesday morning.
Azle ISD said the odor was reported coming from the school's culinary lab, prompting the evacuation while the Azle Fire Department responded to investigate.
Firefighters determined the odor was caused by an unlit pilot light in the culinary lab.
The school was given the all clear, and students and staff are returning to the building. Normal operations are resuming.
