Harris County, TX – Two drivers were arrested after deputies reported observing vehicles being driven erratically along Cypresswood Drive, with one of the drivers allegedly found carrying a loaded handgun.

According to Harris County Precinct 4 Constable Mark Herman’s Office, deputies observed two vehicles driving erratically and placing other motorists in danger in the 2100 block of Cypresswood Drive on August 14.

Deputies stopped both vehicles and identified the drivers as Gervan Johnson and Deshawn Fernandez. During the investigation, deputies reported finding Fernandez in possession of a loaded handgun.

Both men were arrested and booked into the Harris County Jail.

• Gervan Johnson — Charged with Reckless Driving. Bond set at $100 out of County Court 14.

• Deshawn Fernandez — Charged with Reckless Driving and Unlawful Carrying of a Weapon. Total bond set at $200 out of County Court 14.

Constable Mark Herman said reckless driving puts innocent motorists at risk and that deputies will continue enforcing traffic laws.

Charges are accusations, and the defendants are presumed innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law.
