Ledbetter, TX – A man was arrested Saturday night after Lee County deputies responded to a report that a shotgun had been fired toward a passing vehicle occupied by two adults and three children.

According to the Lee County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded around 9:32 p.m. Aug. 15 to the 1100 block of County Road 123 in Ledbetter.

The Sheriff’s Office said its communications center received a 911 call reporting that Kenneth Bradshaw had raised a shotgun and fired in the direction of the passing vehicle.

Deputies established barricades along County Road 123 to prevent additional people or vehicles from entering the area. Members of the Lee County Sheriff’s Office Special Response Team and Criminal Investigations Division, along with Lee County Constable Precinct 2, assisted with the response.

Authorities also deployed the Sheriff’s Office Star-One drone to monitor the property. The drone operator determined Bradshaw had returned inside a residence, according to the Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies surrounded the residence and issued verbal commands for Bradshaw to come outside. He complied and was taken into custody without further incident.

Bradshaw was booked into the Lee County Jail on a charge of:

• Deadly Conduct – Discharge Firearm, a third-degree felony

Investigators recovered evidence from the scene. No injuries were reported.

The investigation remains ongoing, and authorities said additional charges may be considered as the case is reviewed.

Charges are accusations, and the defendant is presumed innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law.
