Houston, TX — A driver was arrested on a Driving While Intoxicated charge following a traffic stop on the West Sam Houston Parkway South at Bellaire, according to Harris County Constable Precinct 5.

Constable Terry Allbritton’s Office said Toll Road deputies stopped the vehicle after observing the driver allegedly disregard a traffic control device and fail to signal while changing lanes.

During the stop, deputies reported observing multiple signs of impairment. The driver was detained, and Standardized Field Sobriety Tests were administered.

After deputies consulted with the Harris County District Attorney’s Office, the driver was arrested and charged with Driving While Intoxicated.

The driver’s identity was not provided in the information released by the Constable’s Office.

Charges are accusations, and the defendant is presumed innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law.
