Harris County, TX – A driver was arrested after an auto-pedestrian crash Sunday, August 16, left a victim with serious bodily injuries along the North Freeway, according to Constable Mark Herman’s Office.

Deputies responded to the 16600 block of the North Freeway, where they found the injured victim in the roadway.

During the investigation, deputies located the suspected vehicle nearby and identified the driver as John Penghe. According to the constable’s office, Penghe was found changing a tire on the vehicle.

Penghe was arrested and booked into the Harris County Jail on a charge of Failure to Stop and Render Aid.
