Austin, TX – Austin firefighters responded earlier to a structure fire at an apartment complex in the 2500 block of Elmont Drive, near South Sunset Valley Road.
The Austin Firefighters Association initially reported that crews were actively working the fire and asked people to avoid the area while emergency personnel operated at the scene.
Photos shared by the association showed firefighters working outside the building as crews responded with multiple pieces of fire apparatus.
The association later provided an update confirming the fire had been extinguished. Fire crews completed cleanup operations and cleared the scene.
