Southside Place, TX — A Southside Place police officer faced an unusual opponent outside the department when a persistent bird repeatedly swooped toward him.
Video shared by the Southside Place Police Department shows the officer watching the bird circle overhead before ducking, raising his hands and throwing a few defensive punches into the air as the bird returned for multiple passes.
The feathered opponent apparently wasn't intimidated and continued coming back for more.
The department had some fun with the encounter, writing, “Some days an officer won’t know what they will encounter during their tour of duty.”
Apparently, that includes a surprise boxing match with the local wildlife.
