San Marcos, TX — One person safely escaped a mobile home fire in San Marcos after waking to find flames in the living room, according to San Marcos Emergency Services.
The San Marcos Fire Department responded around 2:15 p.m. to the 1700 block of River Road.
Officials said one person was inside the home when the fire was discovered. The resident was able to escape safely before firefighters brought the blaze under control.
The fire damaged the mobile home and several nearby vehicles. A neighboring mobile home also sustained minor damage.
The American Red Cross was notified to assist residents displaced by the fire.
No injuries were reported. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
