Marion County, TX — The Marion County Sheriff’s Office released a recap of calls handled during a recent night shift, including two arrests and responses involving fires, theft, medical calls, property checks and suspected intoxication.

Among the incidents highlighted, Texas Game Wardens encountered an intoxicated boater on Caddo Lake who was taken to the Marion County Jail.

In a separate incident, Marion County Dispatch received a report of a possible intoxicated driver pulling a boat. Deputies located the driver, and a Texas Highway Patrol trooper conducted the investigation. The driver was subsequently transported to the Marion County Jail.

Other activity listed in the overnight recap included an animal complaint, two fire-related calls, a theft report, property checks, an ambulance request, a dispute, a medical call, a welfare check and a prowler report.

The Sheriff’s Office reported two arrests during the shift.

IMPAIRED DRIVING REMINDER: Alcohol impairment can endanger others whether someone is operating a vehicle on the roadway or a boat on the water. Arrange for a sober operator and never drive or boat impaired.
