League City, TX — A critical 12-inch water line crossing at Gum Bayou has been replaced after city inspections determined the aging pipeline had reached the end of its service life.
According to the City of League City, Wagner Construction was selected through a competitive bidding process to complete the project in coordination with the Public Works Department.
Crews completed the replacement on July 28, removing the existing line and installing the new pipeline. Required disinfection and water-quality testing were also completed in accordance with Texas Commission on Environmental Quality standards.
The entire project was completed in one day, with only a brief interruption to water service.
City officials said replacing the aging infrastructure will improve the reliability of League City’s water distribution system and help maintain dependable drinking water service for residents.
