Franklin, TX — The Franklin Volunteer Fire Department is reminding residents about heightened fire danger after crews responded to a brush fire Saturday night.
Firefighters arrived to find approximately one-quarter acre burned with minimal progression. Crews quickly contained the fire and extinguished remaining hot spots within the burned area.
The department warned that burn piles ignited before the current burn ban was put into effect could potentially reignite as hot and dry conditions continue.
Residents are encouraged to remain alert and report signs of fire or smoke promptly.
