Montgomery County, TX — A driver was taken into custody after Precinct 4 deputies reported witnessing dangerous driving through an Academy Sports parking lot.
According to the Montgomery County Precinct 4 Constable’s Office, deputies observed a vehicle traveling through the parking lot at a high rate of speed, weaving and driving in circles around parked vehicles.
Deputies intervened and took the driver into custody on a reckless driving charge. The department did not identify the driver in the information released.
The constable’s office said reckless driving, burnouts, donuts and parking lot takeovers can endanger people in public parking areas and warned that deputies will continue enforcement against dangerous driving activity.
An arrest or criminal charge is an accusation. The defendant is presumed innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law.
