Beaumont, TX — A 25-year-old man has been arrested and charged with murder following a shooting that left a 43-year-old man dead Saturday night, according to the Beaumont Police Department.
At approximately 9:04 p.m. on August 15, officers responded to a residence in the 3900 block of Broadmoor for a reported shooting.
Police found Kenlyn Faulk, 43, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was transported to a local hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.
During the investigation, detectives learned Faulk had been involved in an earlier disturbance at a separate location involving an ex-girlfriend and another man. Police said the shooting occurred a short time later at the Broadmoor residence.
Patrol officers and crime analysts connected the two incidents, and approximately 30 minutes after the shooting, officers used Real-Time Crime Center technology to locate the suspect vehicle.
The investigation continued at multiple locations across Beaumont and ultimately led to the arrest of Donta Lawrence, 25, on a murder charge.
Police said Jkalia White, 30, was also taken into custody on unrelated charges.
The homicide investigation remains ongoing.
Charges are accusations, and Lawrence is presumed innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law.
