Bosque County, TX — A fire burned approximately 25 acres Sunday as multiple volunteer fire departments and emergency personnel worked together to contain the blaze, according to the Bosque County Office of Emergency Management.
The response included:
• Valley Mills Volunteer Fire Department
• Clifton Volunteer Fire Department
• Coryell City and Osage Volunteer Fire Department
• Speegleville Volunteer Fire Department
• Crawford Volunteer Fire Department
• North Bosque EMS
Meridian Volunteer Fire Department was also called to assist but was canceled before its response was needed.
North Bosque EMS provided water and support to firefighters working in the Texas heat, while Bosque County dispatchers coordinated resources and assisted responders throughout the incident.
Officials said the fire ultimately burned approximately 25 acres.
The Bosque County Office of Emergency Management thanked the firefighters, dispatchers, EMS personnel and mutual-aid agencies that assisted with the response, recognizing many of the firefighters as volunteers who gave up their time to protect the community.
