Houston, TX — A woman was killed and three other people were seriously injured after an argument escalated into a shooting early Saturday morning in southeast Houston, according to the Houston Police Department.
The shooting happened around 2:35 a.m. at a home on Fairland Drive in Houston’s Sunnyside community.
Police said a man had been arguing with his girlfriend at the home before leaving to get a gun. Investigators said he returned and opened fire, striking four people.
One woman was killed. Two other women and a man were taken to an area hospital with serious injuries. The man was reported to be in critical condition.
Police said the suspected gunman fled after the shooting and is being sought by authorities.
Investigators have not released additional information about what led to the initial argument or identified the suspect.
