Harris County, TX — A traffic stop on the Katy Freeway led to a DWI arrest after Harris County Precinct 5 deputies said they observed a driver speeding and changing lanes without signaling.

According to Constable Terry Allbritton’s Office, Toll Road deputies initiated the traffic stop near the Katy Freeway and Bunker Hill.

During the stop, deputies reported observing multiple signs of impairment and detained the driver for further investigation.

Deputies administered Standardized Field Sobriety Tests and, after consulting with the Harris County District Attorney’s Office, arrested the driver on a charge of Driving While Intoxicated.

Road Safety Reminder

Impaired driving can put everyone on the road at risk. Plan for a sober ride before drinking and never get behind the wheel while impaired.

Charges are accusations, and the person arrested is presumed innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law.
