Horizon City, TX — A man already in custody following a July motorcycle pursuit is facing additional charges stemming from a separate theft investigation, according to the Horizon City Police Department.
Jason Anthony Escobar was previously arrested July 30, 2026, following a motorcycle pursuit.
Police said an additional investigation into a June 28 theft resulted in investigators obtaining warrants charging Escobar with:
• Theft of Property ($750–$2,500)
• Criminal Mischief
On Aug. 13, investigators served Escobar with the additional warrants while he was being held at the El Paso County Detention Facility.
A magistrate set an additional $3,000 in bonds.
Police emphasized that the new charges are separate from those connected to the July 30 motorcycle pursuit.
