Robertson County, TX — The 14th Annual Texas Trail Ride scheduled at 15342 Old Hearne Road has been canceled after authorities received information indicating a serious threat to the safety and security of attendees, according to the Robertson County Sheriff’s Office.

Sheriff Bill Ruland said the sheriff’s office received the information from another law enforcement agency at approximately noon Saturday, Aug. 15.

After evaluating the information, the Robertson County judge, Sheriff Ruland and legal counsel determined that the county permits for the event should be canceled to protect attendees and people in the surrounding area.

Authorities did not provide additional details about the nature of the reported threat.

Anyone who planned to attend the Texas Trail Ride is being advised to make other plans for Saturday evening.
