San Antonio, TX — A 52-year-old woman died Friday after she and a dog were struck by a vehicle on San Antonio’s West Side.
San Antonio police responded around 11:45 a.m. to the 7400 block of West Military Drive near Marbach Road.
According to SAPD, the woman attempted to cross Marbach Road outside of a crosswalk when she and the dog were struck by an eastbound vehicle.
The woman was transported to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries and was later pronounced dead.
Police said the dog suffered severe injuries and was euthanized by officers at the scene because of its condition.
The driver, described as a man in his 60s, was not facing charges at the time of the update.
SAPD said the investigation remains ongoing.
